He reports that Blair Scott, a spokesman for the American Atheists, Inc., was subjected to over 8,000 death threats and other violent rhetoric after appearing on Fox News. The illustration shows some sample responses. Apart from shedding light on some of the attitudes of the US religious fundamentalism, it also rather undermines my theory that forcing people to use real names in Internet discourse increases the likelihood of temperate, reasonable online behaviour.
