Harmless (but fascinating) puzzle for geeks. Here’s a lovely piece of detective work, which works backwards from the numbers in the IPO prospectus to reach some estimates. The answer: somewhere between 31,000 and 80,000 machines. Nice work! Thanks to Slashdot for the link.
